Meet Jim Flint, owner of Flint Consulting LLC, a Vermont-registered company based in West Rutland.
Jim’s career spanned 35 years of leadership roles in education, industry, and nonprofit management. He worked for the National Gardening Association from 1993-2001 and served as executive director of Friends of Burlington Gardens and the Vermont Community Garden Network from 2001-2011.
Jim honed his skills further as executive director of Wonder & Wisdom, Inc., an educational nonprofit based in Greensboro. He transitioned the organization from a long-term founder and was instrumental in facilitating the successful merger of Wonder & Wisdom with The Art House to form a new entity, WonderArts Vermont.
Jim retired in 2017 and began a new chapter as an independent consultant for small businesses and nonprofits. He has a unique understanding of the challenges that business owners, executive directors, and nonprofit boards deal with in sustaining and managing their enterprises. As a former teacher, he is skilled at providing effective training to accompany improvements in financial systems.
